I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and grew up on a farm 100 miles north of the city. At 71, I moved into Edmonton where I began my career in the Automobile Insurance industry. In 1986 I moved to Mississauga, Ontario, Canada where I raised our 5 children, and welcomed 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Having spent 30 years in the Insurance industry waking to a blaring alarm clock, hour-long commutes, long hours, rushing kids to daycare, missing their special events, etc. That constant worry about money. The demanding boss. The overwhelm, exhaustion, and stress. Enough was enough! In 2004 I left the insurance industry and joined my husband as a partner in our small home painting business, and our business flourished.
Retirement age arrived. It quickly became apparent our pensions were insufficient to sustain or improve our lifestyle. We both wanted to escape the Canadian winters on our own Jamaican beachfront property. This propelled me to turn to the internet where guess what? There is affiliate online marketing!
